AMHERST COUNTY, Va. (WSET) - Two sets of identical twins are planning a joint wedding after twin brothers proposed to twin sisters this month.

Brittany and Briana Deane, graduates of Sweet Briar College, said they met Josh and Jeremy Salyers last year at the Twins Days Festival in Ohio, which calls itself the"largest annual gathering of twins (and other multiples) in the world."

The Deane sisters told ABC News that they had been going to the festival since 2011, but the Salyers said it was their first time.

The two sets of twins didn't cross paths until the last day of the festival, but that's all it took.

The Salyers said they sent the sisters a message on Facebook and the conversation took off from there, with the brothers driving from Tennessee to visit them in Virginia.

They said after that visit they knew immediately they were going to propose one day.

"You know when you know," Jeremy Salyers told ABC News. "We’ve always known our whole life if we were going to be married that it was going to be with twins."

The brothers planned a proposal at the same location as their first date at Twin Lakes State Park in Virginia. They told the sisters the wedding venue wanted to feature them all in a commercial, so the sisters arrived in matching blue gowns.

The Salyers brothers ended up getting down on one knee right there.

The couples now plan to have a double wedding this August at the Twins Days Festival in Ohio -- and the brides will be wearing matching dresses.
