The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has rules when it comes to safely storing guns. That does not include putting them in meat.

Florida TSA workers found a gun hidden inside a raw chicken at the Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport. The passenger was reportedly heading to Haiti. A post on TSA's Instagram page didn't identify the traveler by name but did offer a pun-filled caption.

"There’s a personal fowl here The plot chickens as we barrel our way closer to Thanksgiving. For us, it’s a time to be thankful that our officers are always working around the cluck to keep you safe. Take for instance this “hen you believe it?” find at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. We hate to beak it to you here, but stuffing a firearm in your holiday bird for travel is just a baste of time. This idea wasn’t even half-baked; it was raw, greasy, and obviously unsupervised. The only roast happening here is this poor packing choice!" the caption reads. "Feather you like it or not, there are rules for traveling with guns and ammunition. So, don’t wing it; roost over the proper packaging info through the link in our bio."

Several people had commented on the post with jokes of their own such as "glock a doodle doo" and "well, that’s an interesting ingredient for the stuffing."

Security officers said it's a big problem to have a gun at an airport checkpoint. Even if the passenger isn't arrested, there can be fines of up to $14,000.

"Meat, seafood and other non-liquid food items are permitted in both carry-on and checked bags. If the food is packed with ice or ice packs in a cooler or other container, the ice or ice packs must be completely frozen when brought through screening," TSA said on its website. "If the ice or ice packs are partially melted and have any liquid at the bottom of the container, they will not be permitted."

For guns, unloaded firearms are allowed but they must be placed in a locked hard-sided container inside checked baggage and declared at the ticket counter
