FORSYTH, Ga. -- A tractor trailer hauling chickens overturned Monday night in Forsyth, causing the fire department to "hatch" a plan to round them all up.

According to Monroe County Emergency Services (MCES), the trailer overturned on Maynard's Mill Road at Highway 42 South. As noted in a Facebook post on MCES' page, when firefighters arrived, they realized that "something was afoul."

No one was injured, but MCES noted that a few chickens "had their feathers ruffled."

In their Facebook post, MCES said that there is "still no word on why some of the chickens crossed the road."

The silly post has now been shared more than a dozen times.
