CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - A man out on bail in Berkeley County after an arrest on about a half dozen charges was taken into custody again Thursday night in the Bonneau area.

Officials with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office say 43-year-old Charles Litchfield was the passenger in an SUV stopped on Church of God Road for a traffic violation. They say the driver admitted to packing heat and Litchfield admitted to packing meth in his underwear.

Inside the blue Dodge Durango driven by Missy Mims, deputies say they found two handguns, drug paraphernalia and a red prescription bottle containing three tablets. They say Litchfield removed a Marlboro cigarette box from his underwear that contained about 11.7 grams of meth.

Mims, 27, of Bruington Lane in Jamestown, was charged with unlawful carrying of firearm and possession of schedule IV controlled substance.

Litchfield, of DeWitt Road in Bonneau, was charged with unlawful carrying of firearm, possession of schedule IV controlled substance and trafficking methamphetamine.
