The Washington Post is reporting that Toys R Us is planning to sell or close all 800 of its U.S. stores.

Last week, the company tweeted that they appreciate the outpouring of love, and didn't seem to have any signs of closing down.

Five days later, the plan is different.

The closing could impact as many as 33,000 jobs as the company ends operations after 60 years in business.

Toys R Us was once the country's leader in toys but has failed to adapt to the digital world and big-box retailers.

In January, the company announced it would close nearly 200 stores nationwide.
