June is National Safety Month and, according to a new report from WalletHub, Texans may want to make safety their top priority.

In the report, Texas comes in at the 4th least safe state in America.

WalletHub compared the 50 states across 48 key metrics, ranging from assaults per capita to unemployment rate to total loss amounts from climate disasters per capita.

Texas came in at 47, beating out only Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

Vermont tops the list as the safest state in the U.S. according to WalletHub.

The report indicates that Texas ranks dead last in the number of uninsured people, and 42nd when it comes to loss amounts from climate disasters.

Texas also ranks 38th in number of sex offenders per capita.
