NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A Tennessee pastor has stirred debate and some criticism following a social media post calling Stormy Daniels a "hooker."

Pastor Greg Locke of Mt. Juliet's Global Vision Bible Church took to Twitter on Sunday to share his feelings on a "60 Minutes" interview featuring Stormy Daniels, an adult film actress alleging an affair with President Donald J. Trump.

In the tweet, Locke tweeted "The funny thing is @realDonaldTrump is still the President and she's still a hooker #StormyDanielsDay."

The statement has generated over 13,000 comments on the social media site and led to a series of follow-up tweets on the discussion directed at Liberals and responding a CNN reporter's critique.

"Let me get this straight, we can say all manner of evil slanderous gossip about the leader of the free world with no respect to his office but be critical of a porn star and you’re the bad guy? Haha. Carry on Liberals. #StormyDanielsDay"

The pastor also responded to CNN anchor Jake Tapper's critique of the initial tweet. Tapper wrote "I have complete indifference to your feelings about any politician. But you might want to reconsider a refresher course. Hint: the passage is not “hey, go throw stones!”

Locke responded "A CNN Anchor telling people not to throw stones.....that’s the richest Tweet of 2018. Bravo."

Locke is the founder and lead pastor of the church, founded in 2006. Locke is no stranger to social media, active on platforms promoting his message and that of the church. Most-recently, Locke shared a video which reached millions covering the the topic of race and religion.
