A new study found that Washington, D.C. is the fourth hardest-working city in the country.

According to WalletHub, Washington ranked higher than New York City, which came in fifth place.

The study found San Francisco, Ca. to be the hardest working city, followed by Fremont, Ca. and Jersey City, N.J.

WalletHub says they based the study on the following:

"In order to determine where Americans work the hardest, WalletHub compared the 116 largest cities across nine key metrics. The data set ranges from employment rate to average hours worked per week to share of workers with multiple jobs."
