ARDEN, N.C. (WLOS) - A bizarre display at an Arden park has some people wondering who put it there.
More than three dozen dolls and other toys make up the display in the field at Jake Rusher Park.
They are arranged in a semi-circle around a toy musician playing a saxophone.
Some local children at the park for a birthday party Monday had many theories as to why the display is there.
One mother says she and other parents aren't quite sure what to make of it.
"Do these dollies come alive at night and play on the playground that we're playing on right now?" asked Ethan, a child who was celebrating his birthday at the park.
"We thought it was a little strange," said his mother, Erin Creasman. "Weren't really sure what it was out here for. We're guessing maybe lost animals that were left at the playground. Not really sure."
Asheville police say they were called out to the park to investigate.
Officers found there was no criminal intent but did extinguish two burning candles.
