Conway, S.C. (WPDE) — The Palmetto state has a lot of patriotic pride, according to a new study from WalletHub.
South Carolina was ranked as the 4th most patriotic state in the U.S., based onenlisted military population, voters in the 2016 presidential election, AmeriCorps volunteers per capita and more.
The state has one of the highest average number of military enlistees and some of the most veterans per capita, according to WalletHub.
The most patriotic state was Virginia, followed by Alaska and then Wyoming.
Overall, the study said that "red states" ranked higher in patriotism than "blue states."
