A Columbia woman is giving thanks after winning $2 million from a scratch-off ticket purchased at a gas station on Bush River Road.

The Midlands resident said she bought the winning ticket at City Fuel & Food, a gas station she had never visited before.

“I was riding down the road, and I prayed for a lottery win,” she said. “And that’s exactly what I got.”

She said she was in disbelief when she revealed the 'MONEYBAG' symbol and the '$2MIL' prize.

“I was shaking when I signed the ticket,” she said. “It’s a dream come true.”

She has already donated a portion of her winnings to charity.

The odds of winning the top prize in the $2,000,000 Millionaire game are 1 in 1,536,000. One top prize of $2 million still remains.

For selling the winning ticket, City Fuel & Food Inc. in Columbia received a $20,000 commission.
