Emergency crews in Fairfax, Virginia collaborated early Friday morning to rescue a trapped osprey from a treetop tangle.

Fairfax Animal Protection Police called in fire and rescue for a ladder truck to reach the bird from atop the tree.

The bird was safely removed, according to officials.

But after it was freed, the bird tried to fly but could not, so officials took it to a nearby veterinarian's office for treatment.
