Roofing company offers free AR-15 with service purchase

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WZTV) - An Alabama roofing company is offering free AR-15s to customers.

Digital Roofing Innovations wanted a clever way to boost business on the Fourth of July, WIAT reports.

The company posted an ad on Facebookwith one of the owners, a former Navy veteran, in a USA-themed hat, shorts and bowtie,shooting off an AR-15 rifle, setting off fireworks and appearing to drink beer.

What might be the most surprising - the offer is completely legal.

According to WIAT, Digital Roofing Innovations gives customers vouchers after the roofing job is finished and they have to go through the same background checks as if they were buying their own gun.

"You get to choose what you believe in and if people don’t like it then we don’t care, we’re going to continue to do our business and take care of our customers," co-owner Zach Blenkinsopp told WIAT.
