Report: Man who jumped barrier along White House fence was dressed as Pikachu

WASHINGTON (WJLA) - A man who was arrested for jumping a concrete barrier along the White House fenceon Oct. 17 was dressed as the Pokemon character Pikachu, according to CNN.

CNN reports the man has been identified as Curtis Combs, 36, of Somerset, Kentucky. He told Secret Service agents he wanted to be famous and believed he could execute this goal by jumping the fence dressed as Pikachu.

Pikachu is a yellow rodent from the Pokemon series. Combs also planned to post the incident on YouTube, CNN adds.

Combs jumped a barrier on E Street along the White House fence line. During the incident, Secret Service officials investigated a suspicious package which was later cleared.

The package evaluated by authorities was a backpack Combs had dropped before climbing the fence, according to CNN.

Following his arrest, CNN reports Combs told authorities he wanted to return to the White House with his son for a tour.
