COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) - A woman allegedly assaulted a south Columbus store employee with a wet floor sign during a robbery.
The Feb. 6 robbery happened around 10 a.m. at the Family Dollar in the 3800 block of Alum Creek Drive.
Police said two women were accused of stealing items by hiding them in their clothes. One woman was wearing a pink coat with an orange shower cap. Columbus police said she punched and spit on an employee before attempting to hit him with a wet floor sign and then throw it at him.
The other woman allegedly pushed the employee. They both fled in a small, white SUV, per police, but one of the women promised to be back.
Police said four men returned to search for the employee. They were unable to locate him but stole some items before leaving, per police.
