COLD SPRING, Ky. (WKRC) - Police say that a 13-year-old boy led them on a chase in a stolen vehicle and eventually crashed into a patrol vehicle.

At 3:25 p.m. on Tuesday, Cold Spring and Highland Heights Police became involved in the pursuit of a stolen vehicle.

The suspect reportedly stole his mother's vehicle and was driving at over 100 miles per hour on 471.

After three minutes, the teen driver lost control at the intersection of University Drive and Nunn Drive and struck a Campbell County Police Patrol vehicle, causing airbag deployment and injuring an officer.

The officer and suspect were both taken to Saint Elizabeth Fort Thomas Hospital.

The collision report is being handled by the NKU Police Department and the teen's arrest is being handledby Cold Spring Police.
