LONE WOLF, Okla. (KOKH) — A man took out his anger on a BancFirst machine that would not return his debit card, according to court documents filed in Kiowa County, Oklahoma.

Jason Willis was arrested on a charge of malicious injury to property after the alleged attack on an automated teller machine in Lone Wolf.

According to court documents, Willis went to the cityon Dec. 12 complaining that the ATM had not returned his debit card after a transaction. When he was told the city did not service the ATM and that he would have to take it up with the bank, court records say he went to his vehicle and retrieved a pickaxe.

Investigators say the BancFirst ATM caught the entire attack on video. Court records indicate Willis left city hall and went to the ATM and showed the camera a copy of his ID and a utility bill before he struck the ATM screen with the pickaxe.

A picture of the aftermath sent in by a KOKH viewer shows the pickaxe embedded in the screen along with at least two other broken areas on the screen. The BancFirst branch that services the ATM told KOKH they could not talk to the media about the incident. However, court records indicate damage to the machine may exceed $2,500.
