A police officer found himself in a comical showdown with a giant inflatable pumpkin that had gone rogue on a wet roadway.

It was captured on video, providing a moment of levity for those who watched the dash cam footage.

The Bay Village Police Department responded to an unusual call at the intersection of Wolf Road and Saddler Road, where an inflatable pumpkin had become a hazard for commuters. The roads were already slick from rain, adding to the challenge for drivers.

In the dash cam video shared by the police department, the officer is seen stepping out of his patrol car to confront the oversized Halloween decoration blocking the road. The windy weather made the task of wrangling the pumpkin even more difficult.

As the officer attempted to remove the inflatable from the road, the pumpkin humorously swallows him whole. Despite the pumpkin's best efforts, the officer eventually managed to escape it nd return the gourd to its owner, who had arrived at the scene.
