New mysterious monolith appears in El Paso, Texas

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX/CBS4) — The mysterious monoliths appearing in places around the world have arrived in El Paso, Texas.

Pictures show a monolith has appeared at The Substation along Doniphan Dr. and E. Sunset Rd. in El Paso's Upper Valley.

Instead of driving to see Christmas light displays, people arrived Monday evening to view the structure.

People took turns taking pictures with it, and maintained social distancing as they did so.

The first monolith appeared in a Utah desertand was originally found by wildlife biologists performing a helicopter survey of bighorn sheep.

Other monoliths later appeared inRomaniaand California.
