New app to save response time for emergency helicopters

AURORA, Ore. - Emergency responders can now call for a life-saving helicopter using a newly developed app.

Life Flight Network announced Tuesday their newly-released app, LFN Respond, assists emergency personnel calling for air ambulance transportation.

The app gives hospitals and first responders the ability to call for an emergency air lift quickly and conveniently, by simply tapping a flight call button in the app.

“LFN Respond saves precious seconds and makes calling for air ambulance transport easier for hospitals and first responder teams working to save lives,"said Life Flight Network CEO Michael Griffiths.

The app is designed for agencies includinghospitals, first responders, fire departments, EMS, law enforcement, search and rescue, ski patrols and other qualified agencies currently working with Life Flight Network.

Life Flight Network’s service area covers Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.

The app is available on the Apple app store or Google Play to approved hospital and emergency response personnel, according to a press release.
