New app allows you to explore the history of Virginia

RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) - Gov. Ralph Northam (D) has announced the launch of a new app called Virginia History Trails.

Virginians and history buffs alike can can access 400 years of Virginia history through the app.

On the app there are 20 themed trails and 400 detailed site descriptions that tell you what happened, who was involved and why each site was important.

You can create your own profile and completely customize your experience as you use the app, which was curated by the Library of Virginia and Virginia Humanities.
