NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) - Officers arresting a middle Tennessee woman for an outstanding warrant on Tuesday found more than they bargained for during a strip-search at the jail.

According to the police affidavit, workers at the Thorton's Gas Station on Eagle View Road called police after noticing Jean Carrion-Velazquez had been parked outside for a long time.

Police responded and were told by Carrion-Velazquez she had been parked out front for a while because she was homeless. A run of her history revealed she had an outstanding warrant, so she was placed under arrest. During a search of her belongings, police found three used needles that had been recently used to shoot heroin.

Police transferred Carrion-Velazquez to the Davidson County Jail for processing and when asked if she had any contraband on her during the strip-search, she said no. However, officers found a "folded piece of paper with a white powdery substance inside her vagina."

Police say as they attempted to obtain the paper, Carrion-Velazquez took the paper and tried to "place the paper in her mouth and swallow it before the sheriffs could grab it."

Police were able to get the paper from her and she admitted the substance was heroin she had been using to shoot with the needles found in her purse earlier.

Carrion-Velazquez was charged with possession and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
