Naked man leads police on low-speed chase

NEW HOLLAND, Pa. (WHP) - New Holland Police were called to the 100 block of Goods Road in Earl Township, Lancaster County, for a suspicious vehicle in the middle of the road.

When officers arrived just after midnight Saturday, the vehicle driven by Daniel Gene Blake drove off.

According to police, Blake led police on a low-speed pursuit for close to eight miles. The pursuit went through several yards in Farmersville, Fairmount Rest Home in Brownstown, Ephrata Township and Borough.

Blake eventually stopped, after getting hung up on a dirt embankment, just off Maple Street in Ephrata Borough.

According to police, Blake was completely naked in the vehicle when he was arrested.

Blake was taken to Lancaster County Prison Central Booking to be arraigned on charges of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, reckless driving, and driving while operating privilege is suspended.
