A mother wanting to give her soon-to-be daughter a unique name received some harsh critique when asking for feedback online.

She revealed she wanted to honor her grandparents and combine their names to create -- Quiftopher, the Mirror reported.

Despite being told it is an awful idea, she asked for opinions on Reddit.

The post read, "I am thinking of calling my daughter Quiftopher after my grandparents, Quinn, Florence, and both pops are Christopher. I love the name but have gotten mixed feedback."

Commenters pointed out that her daughter will likely be picked on at school while others called it "borderline child abuse."

After receiving negative feedback about the name she deleted the original Reddit post but it was reshared by another online forum.

The post has continued to receive criticism with one person saying, "It sounds like someone trying to say 'Christopher' while they have food in their mouth."

However, not all the comments were bad.

Some even offered constructive criticism by offering alternative suggestions.

"How about Florence Quintopher? Florence is feminine so it works best as the first name and I like a more unusual middle name," one person recommended.
