SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) - On Tuesday a man entered a convenience store and reportedly threatened to kill an employee with a scythe. He was later arrested.

Police received a 911 call from the employee, who had locked herself in an office. The employee reported that the suspect, 39-year-old Michael Just, entered the store with a scythe and was threatening to kill her. Just damaged a vehicle in the parking lot with the scythe as he left, police said.

Just was arrested for aggravated assault, threats, damaged property and criminal trespassing.

Just had been previously ejected from the store, based on his erratic behavior and threats made to employees.

Ogden police responded and located Just inside his residence in the 200 East block of Seventh Street in Ogden, Utah.

Just was not compliant with officers, police said.

The confrontation culminated when Ogden Metro SWAT was called in and Just eventually surrendered to police custody.

Ogden major crimes detectives investigated and served a search warrant. The scythe was found inside the residence, police said.
