A man set a new Oklahoma state record after catching a massive bighead carp from Grand Lake.

The catch checked in at 118 pounds and three ounces.

The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation has asked anglers to help capture the invasive species, which can be found in the lake.

According to state wildlife officials, bighead carp consume large quantities of zooplankton, aquatic insect larvae and adults.

Bighead carp are also a direct competitor with native species like paddlefish and bigmouth buffalo.
