Man leaves courthouse in the middle of his trial

COVINGTON, Ky. (WKRC) - A man on trial for burglary and assault left the Kenton County courthouse during a break and didn't return.

Christopher Rice was arrested in Covington after police say he had beaten a man with a crowbar in March.

Lawyers had made it through opening statements and one witness at his trial when they took a break for lunch. Rice left the courthouse and didn't come back.

There is a warrant out for his arrest.
