A man is wanted for allegedly pulling out a badge and pretending to be a cop, after he attempted to use a fake $100 bill to pay for yogurt at a Sweet Frog store on Feb. 11 in Bethesda.

Police say the man identified himself as a cop after an employee questioned him about the counterfeit bill.

Investigators say when the man was notified by the store associate that the bill was fake, he produced a badge stating he was a cop and wanted to retrieve it.

The employee kept the bill, and the man ran out of the store.

The Sweet Frog is located at 11520 Rockville Pike.

Montgomery County Police are asking anyone with information on the man to contact 240-773-6710. Callers that want to remain anonymous can call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
