Texas woman wins $1.2 million by betting on Kentucky Derby

SAN ANTONIO - A woman in Texas has come away with a big score at the Retama Race Track Saturday by placing a $18 bet that turned into $1.2 million.

She played a pick five bet on the top five horses in the Kentucky Derby -- and she needed them to finish in the exact order.

Justify, Good Magic, Audible, Instilled Regard and My Boy Jack were the top five horses in the race, granting her the big win.

The woman has not been named by the race track. She took home almost as much money as the ownership team of the horse who won the race - Justify. The Associated Press reports they earned $1.4 million.
