Little Caesars is giving away free pizza to everyone after NCAA tournament upset

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (KUTV) - Little Caesar's Pizza took a gamble with a Twitter promotion: "If a #16 BEATS a #1 in men's basketball TONIGHT, you could score a @LittleCaesars Lunch Combo!"

Well, free pizza for everyone, because history happened afterUMBC became the first #16 seed in the NCAA Tournament to beat a #1 seed, Virginia.

The University of Virginia Cavaliers were the overall number one seed, having only lost twice all season.

With arguably the biggest upset in the history of the tournament, The University of Maryland Baltimore Retrievers now makes #16 seeds 1-135 all-time since the NCAA Tournament expanded to 64 teams in 1985.

Little Caesars is making good on the promotion. Anyone can swing by a Little Caesars on April 2 between 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. local time to get a pizza and drink combo.
