(KUTV) A West Jordan woman spotted Joseph Smith and Brigham Young in the back of a truck and called police, as did others in the area.

The founder of the LDS church and the man who led them west to Utah were paired in a statue that was stolen overnight Monday from Salt Lake City. Surveillance footage caught three men and a woman loading the approximately 800-pound statue on a trailer and taking it away.

Tuesday Michele Wilson saw the statue and said she believed one of her neighbors was trying to hide the sculpture in a garage. She snapped photos of the statue as police responded to the tips and Tuesday evening Salt Lake City police and Mayor Jackie Biskupski took to Twitter to celebrate the located statues of LDS prophets.
