(KUTV) Who would have thought taking a men's dress shirt and turning into kids' clothes would make someone so popular?

Stephanie Miller is a mother of four, and makes a lot of her kids' clothes out of her husband's shirts.

"She just keeps raiding my closet," said Jon Miller, her husband.

It was just after her first baby was born five years ago, when Miller found herself suffering from postpartum depression.

"I remember I just cried and I'm like, 'why am I crying all the time?'" Miller said.

Then one day her husband threw a new shirt in a clothing donation pile.

The shirt had shrunk, but Miller decided to make something out of it instead of just getting rid of it.

So Miller started cutting, sewing, and making one outfit after another.

Suddenly, she felt a surge of energy.

"As a mom, all of your time and energy and efforts go into the well-being of your children and not a lot of time goes into yourself," she said. "For me, having a creative outlet was a place where I could have energy going towards me."

Miller's story has gone viral and now thousands of people are following her on Instagram, Facebook, and her YouTube channel.

She's also been featured on Good Morning America, ABC, and other national outlets.

And she's done it all without any classes or professional training.

"It was more about the creative process of making," Miller said.

But she's not ready to turn her skills into a business just yet.

"I'll take on step at a time and see where this adventure takes me," she said.

Through this adventure, Miller has learned a valuable lesson.

"If you're passionate about it, work hard, and you can become good at anything," she said.
