MISHAWAKA, Ind. — The World Series trophy isn't the only thing some Chicago Cubs fans have to celebrate. Many also have the birth of a new baby -- 9 months after the team broke the curse.
Saint Joseph Health System reports a small baby boom recently.
While the doctors can't say it has to do with the Cubs winning their first World Series title in 108 years, they say this didn't come as a surprise.
They said after the Cubs won the World Series, they were anticipating the spike of births about now.
They planned accordingly, thinking about numbers in order to plan staffing.
We're told during the last few weeks there were days where every room was full.
"We really do take these kinds of things into consideration, so what was on my mind was just making sure we had all the supplies that we needed, all the people that we needed to take really good care of the people," said Amy Murray with Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka.
Some of the babies in Chicago were named with Cubs connections, like Ivy or Addison.
