PORTLAND, Maine (WGME) — Lots of people go hiking with their dogs, but now a cat has made it to the top of New Hampshire’s mountains.

Mel Elam, of North Conway, has been documenting her "Adventures with Floki" on social media.

Floki has grown from a kitten to a cat in the nine months since the adventures began.

Probably cutest of all, she spends parts of the journey peering out from the comfort of Elam's backpack.

Floki and Elam have now made it to the top of New Hampshire’s 48 tallest mountains.

Last on the list was Mount Washington, which they reached last Saturday.
