WASHINGTON (SBG) -- Hunter Wittrock is a triplet from Oklahoma with cerebral palsy.

His father Jeff says he's worked countless hours to achieve his dreams.

Despite the ongoing pandemic, Wittrock wasn't going to let anything stop him from walking across the stage graduating with his high school diploma.

"A global pandemic just about took the moment away as graduation was called off for some time, but at the last minute the school said we are a go for graduation," said Jeff Wittrock.

The younger Wittrock was lucky enough to participate in an outdoors socially-distanced event.

Wittrock's father says, "Hunter got his time to shine, with the crowd and friends supporting him on he pulled off the surprise of a lifetime, as only parents, siblings, and therapist knew of the event!"

The newly-minted high school graduate is expected to begin college classes in the fall.
