NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — The best of the best – That’s who Airbnb says they are naming as the most hospitable hosts in every U.S. state. Dreamy cottages, fun farmhouses, and eclectic bungalows all across the country are featured on the highly-coveted list.

To be recognized as one of the most hospitable listings, Airbnb hosts had to achieve 100 percent 5-star ratings in cleanliness, check-in and communication with a minimum of 100 reviews. 310 properties qualified nationwide, so the tiebreakers went to whichever Airbnb had the highest number of 100 percent 5-star ratings.

A cozy carriage house in Nashville made the cut.

Almost five years ago, violinist Bethany Bordeaux and her husband decided to build a guesthouse to rent out in the backyard of their 12 South home. The home-away-from-home is now a favorite for those traveling to Music City.

“We are no strangers to travel ourselves and have enjoyed creating a space where anyone can feel comfortable and at home no matter if they are coming to town for vacation, to visit family or even for an appointment at one the many area hospitals,” Bordeaux said.

The quaint hideaway with local charm boasts a five-minute ride to the heart of downtown Nashville.

A cottage in Asheville, North Carolina, with a similar hometown feel received the most reviews out of any Airbnb host in the country with 530 reviews.

The Tar Heel state tied with California at 35 hosts each for the greatest number of Airbnbs with a 100 percent standard.

By the numbers:

  • Of the 50 most hospitable hosts, at least 33 have listings that are on or attached to their primary residences.
  • 100 percent are superhosts.
  • 42 have just one or two listings.
  • 8 host out of big cities with populations of 300,000 or more in places like Austin, Nashville, Denver, Las Vegas, or New Orleans.
  • 18 host out of small villages and towns with populations of less than 10,000.

“Great Hosts have always been the lifeblood of our community. Great hospitality – particularly qualities like cleanliness and safety – took on even greater importance in the midst of the pandemic,” Airbnb shared in a statement. “We are in awe of these extraordinary Hosts who have maintained this level of perfection, with 5-star reviews 100 percent of the time in these review categories that matter deeply to our guest community.”
