The Florida Highway Patrol won the 2023 America’s Best Looking Cruiser Competition.

The American Association of State Troopers announced Monday the Sunshine State won with a commanding lead of over 181,000 votes. According to the news release, this is almost 39,000 more votes than the first runner up, California Highway Patrol, followed by Nevada Highway Patrol in third place.

“It’s gratifying to see the inclusion and enthusiasm for supporting Florida by citizens, other partners, and our FHP members,"Colonel Gary Howze, director of FHP, said.

The national competition began July 17 and requested picture submissions from each agency.

Florida's submission was done by retired FHP Lieutenant Jeff Frost, featuring a black and tan Dodge Charger with a 15-year-old alligator named Tamale posing in front, the news release said.
