Fiona the hippo continues to pack on the pounds

CINCINNATI, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) - For those who haven't really noticed Fiona's weight gain, her latest photo will grab your attention.

The Cincinnati Zoo posted a photo of the hippo calf lounging in her pool and showing off her double chin.

The zoo said she's up to 227 pounds, exactly 200 pounds more than when she was born six weeks premature in January.

Along with her growth in size (like teeth) and strength, she's also getting a lot more comfortable in her pools at deeper depths as her care team transitions her to the outside poolin the hippo habitat.

There is no exact timetable for that or when she'll join her parents and the rest of the community permanently.
