"Are you being sirius?!"

That's what some people were saying after firearms officers raided a hotel in England for reports of a knife-wielding man that turned out to be a Harry Potter wand.

Blaby Police said the mixup happened when officers were called to a large hotel in Enderby after receiving a call about a man inside near the lifts carrying "a large knife."

"Following enquiries we quickly established that it was a Harry Potter fan with a wand. Thankfully no harm was caused to any resident & there was no sign of 'Voldermort,' [sic]," police posted on Facebook.

Harry Potter puns flooded the comment section soon after the mistake was uncovered.

One comment read “Expecto Patrol-man!” while another said, "bet the person who reported it Slytherined away red-faced when no one was looking."

The Guardian reported a garden center close to Enderby was offering customers a Harry Potter-themed afternoon tea but it was unclear if the fan has been in the area for that event.
