Tags were wagging in Texas when a dog was reunited with the men who rescued her.

Her name is "Connie the Container Dog," as members of the U.S. Coast Guard found her trapped inside a shipping container during a recent a routine inspection at the Bayport Container Terminal in Seabrook.

The Coast Guard said Connie got the chance to met up with Officers Bryan Wainscott, Lucas Loe, Ryan McMahon, and Jose Reyes on Monday.

Today, the marine science technicians assigned to Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston reunited with Connie at the David Wayne Hooks Memorial Airport in Texas, before she headed to the Washington, D.C., area to be adopted," the Coast Guard noted in the release.

A previous Facebook post from U.S. Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston said a team of four marine inspectors heard barking and scratching from inside one of the containers on Jan. 31.

The container was one of thousands and in a stack about 25 feet in the air. Using a crane, they lowered the container, opened the door, and out came an adorable dog.

This sweet girl was trapped in the container for at least a week and was tired, hungry, and very happy to see her rescuers," according to the post. "The Coast Guard members gave her water and brought her to a local animal shelter for further care."

The Coast Guard members drove Connie to Pasadena Animal Shelter, where she was checked out. A rescue group, Forever Changed Animal Rescue, has since took her in to help her regain her strength and prepare her for adoption.

Now, she is ready for her fur-ever home.
