OXON HILL, Md. (WJLA) - DaredevilNik Wallenda brought his high-wire act to the National Harbor Wednesday morning.
Wallenda, a renownedacrobat who comes from a long line of performers, walked 75 feet in the air across two buildings at the harbor on a cable that has about the diameter of a nickel.
In 2013, Wallenda became the first person to cross the Grand Canyon on a wire after becoming the first to do the same directly over Niagara Falls in 2012.
Wallenda performed his walk at around 8:45 a.m. high above a cheering crowd. He made it across the buildings safely with only a slight stumble at the end of his walk before he waved to his onlookers.
"I hope what I do inspires people around the world to reach for the skies," the daredevil says on his website.
