After decades of being in love, a couple said "I do," again, tying the knot for a second time at a nursing home in Rhode Island.

John and Linda have been long-term residents at the Waterview Villa Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. They've been committed to each other for even longer.

To reaffirm their love of 41 years, the couple decided to renew their vows and prove that love is not a fleeting emotion.

"You know, we've had our ups and downs, and good and bad...and we've made it," John said.

The center's staff planned a bachelor and bachelorette party for the husband and wife ahead of their vow renewal.

When you get to be this age and you're surprised, it doesn't happen very often and I was very surprised and grateful to everyone for making this day so special and to my husband for 41 great years," Linda added.

The center hosts wedding vow renewals each June to give residents the chance to celebrate their love.
