LISBON, Conn. (WJAR) — State troopers in Connecticut responded to a "harey" situation on Saturday evening.

Troopers were dispatched for a reported suspicious incident in Lisbon.

"It was reported that a suspicious being driving a Jeep had been hiding eggs, delivering baskets of candy, and sneaking around backyards at local residences," police said.

Police spoke to the driver, a 450-year-old rabbit.

Troopers said the rabbit explained he was trying to get a head start on Easter deliveries.

"A written warning was issued and he was sent on his way, as promised not to interfur with any more police matters," police said.
