COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) - Columbus police officers surprised a 4-year-old on his birthday after his mother shared his love of police.
According to the Columbus Division of Police's Facebook page, Ms. Brooks reached out to CPD in an email with hopes that it would surprise her son Ty on his fourth birthday.
"I know it’s a little out the normal and the police are always super busy in our neighborhood since we don’t live in a great place so I’m always scared to bother them because they are so busy," said Brooks. "My 3yr son's birthday is Monday and he absolutely loves the police he actually has a police power wheel I was wonder if while someone is out if they could just stop by so he can get a pic with him in his power wheel beside the police in there vehicle it would mean the world to him."
Three officers then surprised Ty on his birthday, bringing him balloons, a card and police badge stickers.
Brooks said that Ty plans on dressing as an officer for Halloween.
