'Chutti the Cutie,' rhino Phoenix Zoo, picks Liberty Flames as losers in Monday's Fiesta Bowl

PHOENIX (KATU) — Chutti the Cutie has made his pick for the VRBO Fiesta Bowl.

On Sunday, the Greater One-Horned Rhino from the Phoenix Zoo picked Oregon to beat Liberty in Monday’s game.

Chutti was presented with two helmet-shaped cardboard boxes smeared with jam to pick the winner of the game, with the losing team being knocked over first.

Chutti headed straight for the Liberty helmet, devouring it in a matter of moments. By knocking over and eating the Liberty helmet, Chutti picked Oregon to win the Fiesta Bowl.

According to ESPN, odds makers in Las Vegas agree with Chutti’s pick as Oregon is favored to win as of Sunday afternoon.

The Phoenix Zoo said they had to change how Chutti made his pick after going 0-2 the last two years.

The Oregon Ducks will face the Liberty Flames in the VRBO Fiesta Bowl on New Year's Day.

Kickoff is scheduled for 10 a.m. and will air on ESPN.
