Chick-fil-A announces first-ever spin on original chicken sandwich, new seasonal milkshake

UNDATED (WKRC) — Chick-fil-A announced its first-ever spin on the much-loved Original Chicken Sandwich, as well as a new seasonal milkshake.

Starting August 28, guests will have the opportunity to experience the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich and the cool flavors of fall in Chick-fil-A's new Caramel Crumble Milkshake.

According to Chick-fil-A,after over a year of experimenting with almost 30 sandwich options, the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich was selected to roll out nationally.

The new sandwich will feature three special ingredients:

• Savory pimento cheese

• Jalapeños, a first for the company.

• Sweet drizzled honey

"We wanted to create a standout sandwich that would deliver a unique spin for our guests, without losing the classic taste of the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich. The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich uses ingredients and flavors our guests have never experienced at Chick-fil-A before, balancing savory, sweet and spicy elements using the highest quality ingredients," said Stuart Tracy, Chick-fil-A Chef and creator behind the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich. "With our custom-made pimento cheese and specially sourced jalapeños, we hope to deliver a new and exciting sandwich our guests will love,” Chick-fil-A wrote on its official website.

The Caramel Crumble Milkshake, formerly known as the Butterscotch Crumble Milkshake, was described as a cool combination of cozy fall flavors. It is made with creamy butterscotch caramel, hand-spun ice cream, blondie crumbles and topped with a cherry.

The new items will be available nationwide, while supplies last.
