MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — Capri Sun has announced a voluntary recall for thousands of juice pouches due to possible contamination.
Kraft Heinz has recalled 5,760 cases of Capri Sun which they say might be contaminated with a cleaning solution used at one of their production plants. The “Best When Used By” date on the products is June 25, 2023.
Reports of consumers complaining about the taste supposedly prompted the investigation.
The issue was discovered after we received several consumer complaints about the taste of the affected product. The company is actively working with retail partners and distributors to remove potentially impacted product from circulation," Kraft Heinz said in its recall notice.
They say the Wild Cherry flavor is the impacted product.Consumers who purchased the affected items should not consume the product. Customers can contact Kraft Heinz from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday, at 1-800-280-8252 to see if a product is part of the recall and to receive reimbursement.
Customers can return any problematic cases to the point of purchase for refunds.
