Bucs or Chiefs? Fiona makes her Super Bowl prediction

CINCINNATI (WKRC) — Being an underdog herself at birth, the Cincinnati Zoo's famous hippo, Fiona, has chosen the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win the Super Bowl Sunday.

Fiona first sniffed the barrel with the Chiefs' logo but then knocked down the one with the Bucs logo.

It's the fourth year that the Zoo said Fiona has gone with the underdog but before you make any big bets, she's only been right once.

“Only one of her three previous Big Game forecasts was accurate, Eagles vs. Patriots in 2018, although there was some controversy as to which team she actually picked last year,” said Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard. “She appeared to vomit on the Kansas City Chiefs' logo, which some interpreted as a pick to win and others as the opposite! It was a real toss-up!”

Super Bowl LV kicks off at 6:30 pm on Sunday, and 7,500 healthcare workers will be honored at the game.

The Cincinnati Zoo opens daily at 10 am. Reservations are required and masks must be worn while at the Zoo.
