Tax day is not the only unofficial holiday this week.

Consider Thursday’s date: 4/20.

In anticipation, the website LawnStarter.com ranked 2023's Best Cities to Get Stoned.

The lawn service company, which apparently dabbles in weeds and weed, poured through more than 100 of the biggest pot-friendly American cities and fired them up on 17 marijuana metrics.

The year 2022 was a banner year for growing green and biting one’s lips. Three new states legalized recreational reefer for adult use. More recently, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear signed a bill earlier this month and Missouri started recreational marijuana sales in February.

In fact, Missouri is 1 of 12 states and D.C. to allow home cannabis cultivation for recreational use. Folks there with cards from the state can grow way 'MO' ganja than anywhere else by far: 18 plants (up to six flowering plants, six nonflowering plants under 14 inches tall, and six non-flowering plants under 14 inches in a single enclosed locked facility). That’s 50% more than in the number two state, Michigan.

What about R&R with THC and CBD? In the 'canabliss' category, Las Vegas takes first place with more 420-friendly accommodations per square mile than elsewhere. When it comes to bud-and-breakfasts, lighting up in Los Angeles is the best bet. And in the consumption lounge category, San Francisco is tops for smoking trees.

Other chronic categories are places whererolling out cannabis shops can be a drag, where there's high praise for weed shop satisfaction, foodie hotspots for munchie relievers, and doobie debit, where folks can't buy cannabis on credit.

Now, see through the smoke for the best and worst locations to go loco:
