AUSTIN, Texas (KEYE) - A woman accused of stealing sausage from a market bit the hand of a man who tried to stop her, court records state.

On Wednesday, April 4, a man witnessed Patricia Ann Jarmon, 56, pushing a shopping cart with a stack of Meyer’s Elgin sausage at Arlan’s Market. The witness observed Jarmon enter another aisle, then leave quickly for the exit.

After passing the registers, the witness stopped Jarmon and asked for the unpaid sausage. Jarmon denied the accusation after which the witness grabbed Jarmon’s bag to reclaim the stolen sausage. Jarmon responded by bending down and biting the witness’ hand, the affidavit states.
